Consume and Resume, 2012

Art Tarts took Consume and Resume the to Hill Station Community cafe in 2012. Designed to interrupt familiar spaces and introduce a different energy, Art Tarts staged art Happenings such impromptu performances, thought provoking stencils for Cappuccinos, a wobbly jelly, wobbling away on an 1980's vibrating exercise machine to the Destiny's Child hit song 'Bootylicious', a history of cake, a pop up film screening of 'The Cook, His Wife, The Thief and His Lover', and a foodbank for the rich...it's probably easier mentioning what we didn't showcase.
