The Death of Painting, 2002

This oversized paintbrush with firework was made during my foundation course at Central St. Martin's College of Art & Design. It celebrates the beauty of painting, a media I has fast fallen in love with but also my preparedness to lay aside my love for this artform to make way for new means of expression and discovery. It felt like both a joyous and frightening time.
