Nature is a Language, Can't You Read, 2018

Inspired by what we were experiencing as we travelled through south America, we came across the opportunity to create a mural on a busy tourist street in the buzzing port city of Valparaiso, Chile.

Being by the sea made us think of just how precious a resource water is. Never before has this message been so clear as we face a burgeoning climate emergency. Chile and neighbouring Bolivia are no strangers to conflicts over precious resources- after 5 years of fighting from 1879, Chile emerged victorious in the War of the Pacific leaving Bolivia landlocked and without access to the sea. Our message is to share out these precious resources, care for them and do your best to understand them, after all, nature is a language, can't you read?
